Two centuries ago Hippocrates said “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
Science has since irrefutably demonstrated that nutrition is indeed essential of good health.
However, with so much information at our fingertips (some of it conflicting), it can be difficult to know where to turn to for accurate, unbiased advice.
Building on a career of twenty years as a Sports Therapist and Pilates teacher I attained a functional Nutrition degree (BSc Hons) from Oxford Brookes University. The knowledge gained over four years of training was a revelation to me. I watched my own health improve immensely through dietary changes made as a result of my studies and would now like to share some of that knowledge with you.
Functional nutrition is a holistic approach that considers your unique constitution and needs: from your diet and lifestyle through to genetics. Whether it’s a specific medical condition, a personal goal or just instinctively feeling that your quality of health is not as you’d like it to be, I’d like to help. My functional training enables me to formulate a programme. Throughout the process I am here support and motivate you on your journey towards an improved health status.

As a member of the Association for Nutrition and the Nutrition Society I have access to some of the latest unbiased scientific papers from world experts in their field. If we decide together that it is relevant, I can offer a wide range of diagnostic tests from inflammation to intolerances and DNA.
Finally, I like to take an ethical stance as a Nutritionist. Essentially, you are here for my expertise. I will not sell you unnecessary supplements or tests. While sometimes necessary, these products are used to complement rather than replace nourishment from food.

Claire's knowledge and passion on applying correct nutrition to the individual and their underlying pathologies is impressively reassuring and abundant. No doubt helped by her years of experience as a biomechanist and her personable and caring approach.
I have been struggling with fatigue, relating to hormonal changes, which Claire has supported me through by adapting my diet to accommodate shortfalls detected.
